Fitzpatrick Advisory , ceo and owner
Brian Fitzpatrick is a Highways industry specialist and advisor who has accrued a wealth of successful management, design and delivery experience of major projects and initiatives, through a variety of technical, commercial, project or programme management roles in the public and private sector, in the UK and internationally.
He has extensive experience of working with, or as the client for, many of the consultants and contractors currently working in the industry in the UK, and remains connected to the supply chain and emerging players developing best practice or breaking new ground today, as a result of work with his own consultancy practice, Fitzpatrick Advisory Ltd, set up in 2015.
The company advises clients on business issues such as asset management, design management, how to optimally maintain and/or manage physical infrastructure and road networks, and where best to invest resources to realise the high value opportunities emerging from disruptive technology eg connected and autonomous vehicles using our networks.
This wide perspective, coupled with the company’s technical expertise and experience, is regularly honed and further informed by the annual ‘Fitz INDEX’ poll of the Highways industry. The Index is a yearly gauge probing the sentiment and opinions of a wide cross section of the sector on topical issues. Previous surveys have assessed the impact of Brexit, road pricing, electric vehicles, CAV, the funding and structure of the sector, Local Highways Authorities’ performance, and procurement.
Brian has personally led or managed commissions with clients such as Highways England, Transport for London, and is also leading a pioneering research project into digital infrastructure and CAV deployment with a leading English local authority.
