head of planning and resilience,
Philip has worked in the water and wastewater industry for over 30 years, his first experiences dating back to just before privatisation of the industry. His career has spanned work in the North East and North West of England before re-locating to support water supplies in the South-East of England. During this time he has worked for contractors, consultants and is currently employed by Southern Water as the Head of Wholesale Water Transformation.
Through the lens of many differing roles he has seen changes in the water industry, from the developing appetite for risk to meet ever increasing quality standards to the innovation and change that has been required to meet the challenges that this has brought about. He is very much looking forward to being involved in the “Impact in Water” category of the NCE100 awards this year.
