Dr David Hancock is Construction Director with the Infrastructure and Projects Authority, leads the Government Construction Team and chairs the Government Construction Board.
Renowned internationally as a leading thinker and practitioner in the field of risk, he is the author of the bestselling book “Tame, Messy and Wicked Risk Leadership” and was the Head of Risk for Transport for London and Terminal 5 Heathrow and a board director with Halcrow now Jacobs.
He is a high-risk project reviewer for government and sits on the boards for Buckingham Palace refurbishment , British Antarctic Survey and is the UK Government’s representative for the Recovery and Development of the British Virgin Islands. He has a Degree and PhD in engineering alongside an MBA. A Chartered Engineer, Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and Fellow of the Association of Project Management.
