Q. What are the key dates I need to know?
A. Entries open 28 October, 2019 and close 31 January, 2020. Online judging will then take place in March and the 2020 shortlist announced in April followed by face-to-face judging. The Awards ceremony will take place on June 18, 2020 at The Brewery, London.
Q. How many categories should I enter?
A. The only condition for entry is that companies must enter at least one category from each of the three core themes. This is to ensure that all companies that are successful in joining the NCE100 in 2020 are providing at least one key professional service, are operating in at least one key market sector, and are striving for excellence in at least one key business culture area.
Q. How will I be judged?
A. At the first stage each entry will be assessed by at least three of our 60-plus panel of client judges. Top scoring submissions in each category will be shortlisted and entrants requested to attend a face-to-face presentation in front of the judges.
In this presentation you will have the opportunity to further expand on your submission and convince our judges that you are best in your field.
Q. How will be scored?
A. FIRST STAGE: You can enter as many categories as you like across the 3 core themes (minimum of 1 in each), but ultimately, we will only be taking your average score from each of those themes – max 10 points per theme. Maximum of 30 points available.
SECOND STAGE: Points for being shortlisted. Any shortlisted entries will receive 1 bonus point. Bonus points available across 20 categories.
FINAL STAGE: Points for winners/highly commended. Any winners will receive 15 bonus points per award. Any highly commended will receive 5 bonus points per award. Bonus points available across 20 categories.
Q. How do I find out if i've won?
A. In May we will announce the 100 firms that have made the NCE100 2020. Becoming a member of the NCE100 2020 is an achievement, and we wish to announce the 100 firms that have made the grade.
Award winners will be announced at the NCE100 Companies of the Year gala dinner taking place on Thursday 18 June 2020 at The Brewery.
Q. What happens after the Awards?
A. Having found our 100 companies of the year, we are keen to work with them all to form an insightful report that highlights key industry trends, concerns, opportunities and threats. To do this we will contact all NCE100 companies in May, asking a representative of their senior leadership team to consider a short survey that will give us the insight we are seeking.
We will reveal the findings at C-suite event to which we will invite government representatives and key industry stakeholders along with all NCE100 companies, judges and sponsors.
